Finding Your Soul and Personality Tarot Cards Using numerology by Derek McGillivray

Finding Your Soul and Personality Tarot CardsUsing numerology by Derek McGillivray

This is a guide I made a few years ago and its very easy to follow, I love doing a full numerology reading, with as much personal numbers as you can give, i.e phone numbers, house numbers, national insurance number, payroll number and even your full names, its also great for lovers or future lovers, planing dates for big occasions, the list goes on. If you want to try a numerology reading book a session with me but send me as much info as you can before hand, it takes time to sort it all out. Is great for birthdays is 40th or 21st. Enjoy this guide and feel free to leave any comments.

Your soul card shows who you essentially are: your higher soul, spirit, self- the part of you that’s immortal and is believed to separate from your physical body at death. According to many belief systems, the soul assumes the particular personality it needs for expressing and developing itself in each physical incarnation of lifetime. Determining your Soul Card:

1. Add up the month, day, and year of your birth.

For example, Derek was born December the 8th 1965.  Derek would add as follows:

      8 (day)
    12 (month)
1965 (year)
1985

2. If your total is greater than 22 (the total number of major arcana cards), reduce it by adding the numbers together, If the reduced number is still larger than 22, add its numbers together.

For example, Derek would add 1+ 9 + 8 + 5, for a total of 23 as there is only 22 cards Derek then adds 2 + 3 = 5

5 = The Hieroplant (often called the Pope card, good teacher, spiritual, good listener, always seeking the truth, does more for others than himself.)

Identifying your personality card -
Follow two easy steps to find your personality card:

1. If the number of your soul card is a double – digit number, add the digits together.

2. Use the number you arrive at in step 1 to find your personality card. If the number of your soul card was a single-digit number, your soul card and personality card are the same.

Hence Derek’s is still 5 The Hieroplant.

Having the same soul and personality card.

If your soul and personality cards are the same, you tend to experience an innate agreement between your soul purpose and your personality – what your ego and person desires are pulling you toward. Simply put you may feel conflicted about what you do in the world and who you are in your heart of hearts. This configuration also symbolises a state that you are growing into.

Example:  Derek’s Soul and personality cards are the same: The Hierophant. Derek is naturally a spiritually oriented person. Because he had years of dogmatic religious training, Derek won’t presently participate in anything that has to do with religion. In time, Derek’s innate connection with divinity is likely to draw him into practising, or even teaching, some type of non dogmatic spirituality. (Derek is currently learning about the Tarot cards and intends to teach Reiki which is a form of spiritual natural healing. He is also open mined and open to new thinking and ideas.)

A special case: Totalling 19

If your birthday numbers total up to the number 19, you get one more card than everyone else. I call this the mediating card because it helps mediate conflicts, power struggles, or tension between your soul and personality.

Finding your card for the year.

  1. Add together the day and month of your birth, as well as the year for which you’d like to find your card.
  2. Next add together the digits of the number you calculated in step1. If the number you arrive at is larger than 22, add the digits of that number together.
Example Derek’s

     08 (day)
12    (month)
2006  (year)
2026                            2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10  The wheel of fortune.

In 2006 Derek got a new job with good earnings and for the first time in years his health improved.

The General Card for today: Add the day, month, and year together.

Pinpoint today’s personal card

  1. Add together the month, day and year of your birth plus the current day, month, and year. For example Derek’s on the 11/7/2007

    12  (month)     07
                08     (day)       11
            1965 (year)      2007
            1985                2025

  1. Add the two totals from step 1 together and reduce the resulting number. If that number is higher than 22, add its digits together to reduce it again.

Example 1985 + 2025 = 4010 4 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 5 - The Hieroplant = Marriage, good advice, religion, the higher self, mercy.

Locating your Personal Court Card

Same method as before but if you have a number higher than 16 add them together again i.e. in Derek’s case 23 = 5 The Knight of Wands - A cleaver, honest, man who gives good advice
